Flo, a 60-foot ORMA trimaran, ex-Pierre 1er, designed for competition, and experience the power and speed of a legendary boat. Formerly known as Pierre 1er, designed by VPLP for Florence Arthaud, it is the result of the Formula 40 saga: a wing mast, three hulls with a maximum length of 18.28 m, and three rudders. It led Florence Arthaud to victory in the Route du Rhum en 1990, making sailing history. Today, it is accessible to all for an extraordinary experience on the open sea.

Originally named Pierre 1er, this 60-foot trimaran was built for Florence Arthaud in 1989 by the naval architecture firm VPLP Design and the Jeanneau shipyards.
It was with this boat that the famous sailor won the 1990 Route du Rhum against all odds. Le Flo then belonged to Steve Fossett, who renamed it Lakota, with which he finished 5th in the 1994 Route du Rhum. After several buyouts and a 10-year stay in Hong Kong where it was used as a cruise ship, Le Flo, bought by Philippe Brillaut, made its grand return to France in 2022. Its new owner, Philippe Brillaut, has made it available to Philippe Poupon for the 2022 Route du Rhum and to serve as the setting for the film ‘Flo’ directed by the navigator’s wife, Géraldine Danon, who will borrow the boat for the filming of ‘FLO’, a film about the navigator’s life.
